It has been a great honor to serve as your Miss Jr. Rodeo Idaho 2010! This past year in my journey as Miss Jr. Rodeo Idaho I have traveled approximately 4,000 miles. My goal was to travel to all corners of our great state and I can proudly say that I achieved that goal. Traveling to Miss Rodeo Idaho 2009’s send off party in Northern Idaho last November, to the Weiser Valley Roundup in Western Idaho to the great Dodge National Circuit Finals Rodeo in Eastern Idaho has allowed me to see more of my beautiful state doing what I love to do. I have attended 15 rodeos during this past year, beginning and ending with the Gooding Pro Rodeo, an event which is dear to my family’s heart. Perhaps what I will remember the most are the people I had the privilege of meeting as Miss Jr. Rodeo Idaho. The athletes of the Idaho Winter Special Olympics will leave a lasting impression upon my heart, as well as the children I visited on Christmas Eve at St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital in Boise. I had the honor of meeting the Governor and First Lady Otter at the Blue Jean Ball, stood proudly on the sidelines of the BSU vs. San Jose St football game decked out in my Blue and Orange and visited our state’s Veterans during Salute to Veteran’s week. These are just a few among the many wonderful experiences that I will never forget.
With the help and support of others, dreams are always within reach and I would like to thank all of my sponsors and everyone who helped me get to where I am today. I truly could not have had the year I did without your help. Keely has been the best “big sister” I could every hope for and I look forward to what we can do in the future.
I want to wish BreAnna Olsen, Miss Jr. Rodeo Idaho 2011 all the best. Bre, my hope is that you will have as wonderful a year as I have. You will be a great Miss Jr. Rodeo Idaho!
Remember - if you follow your dreams and listen to you heart you can achieve anything!
